Principal – LEED AP
Randy Wartner brings over 37 years of experience in the mechanical engineering industry to the company. Randy earned his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. He served as a commissioned officer in the United States Army for six years. After resigning his commission, Randy began his HVAC career as a Sales Engineer for Industrial Denver Company. Randy was also involved in startup and trouble shooting equipment and systems they represented. Randy was promoted to vice president after two successful years, a position he held for the next seven years. Randy moved on to secure a position with ABS Consultants - a mechanical and electrical engineering firm - where he was hired as Project Manager. During his time with ABS, Randy designed projects totaling over 5 million square feet. After four years with ABS, Randy was promoted to Principal, holding that position for a total of six years. In 1998 Randy expanded upon his knowledge and experience in the HVAC industry by joining WHS Inc., a manufacturer’s representative. As a partner at WHS, Randy was responsible for calling on the engineers and providing technical advice to all WHS clients. He has been a principal with DMCE for almost fourteen years.
Randy as a manufacturer’s representative and engineering consultant has considerable experience in the Rocky Mountain and other areas with remote, self-contained projects usually identified with Parks and Recreation. As a consultant he has been involved in indefinite quantity contracts with the National Park Service as well as other projects involving visitor centers, events centers, and equestrian centers. Randy has been involved in several LEED projects to date.
